Client features: Can run stand-alone in Windows to manually
schedule shows one time or repeating; adjustable recording
quality(profile); completely configurable command line including
program to schedule and parms to pass; command line defaults to
Hauppauge WinTV PVR format; automatically convert one channel
number to another; wake up the computer for recording and shut
down/suspend when done; complete Visual Basic 6 source available.
Server features: Retrieve an XMLTV feed and convert into an
HTML webpage. When a TV show is clicked on, the client
automatically starts and schedules the show. Complete Perl
source available.
Requirements: User can run the client
scheduler stand-alone in Windows and manually enter the show info,
or optionally use the server components and just click twice to
update the schedule. The optional server components require a
Unix-flavor server to retrieve XMLTV and convert it to an HTML TV
schedule.
Credits/Links: The converter from XMLTV to HTML was derived from Toby Inkster's
tv2html.pl, and the Windows task scheduler DLL was created by
Eduardo Morcillo.
